Lately there has been a flurry of rumours, stories and news articles on who exactly will be the republican Presidential candidate for 2012. There are many qualified potential candidates and ths is posing a prolem for the Democratic party as well as the Republican Party as the field is stocked with winners. One major name that keps circualting is newt Gingrich. Newt is well liked by many in the party and also brings in some moderate midle of the road voters, as well as some tea partiers. Mitt romney is also in and brings his war chest of funds and his highly touted Business background. Tim Pawlenty has also said recently, "If I decide to run it would be for president, not vice president". Michele Bachmann, R-Minnesota appears to be the lead tea party candidate for the White House and is even planning a trip to South Carolina. South Carolina is an early primary state which is usually controlled by the Republicans. The state may be a battleground this year though as The Democratic party has scheduled their 2012 Convention in Neighboring Charlotte North Carolina.
All of these candidate and even more prove a formidable foe for president Barack Obama.
